The teenage son of actress and model Elizabeth Hurley stands to inherit millions after a court ruling over his late paternal grandfather’s will.
Damian Charles Hurley, 17, is the son of Hurley and multi-millionaire businessman Steve Bing. Hurley and Bing never married and split up not long after their son was born.
A judge has now ruled Damian Hurley to be a lawful beneficiary of his millionaire grandfather’s trust.
Damian and his sister, Kira, whom Bing fathered with a former tennis star, were being excluded from the inheritance, despite it being established to “benefit future grandchildren.”
Court papers filed by a trustee argued that Dr. Peter Bing had a specific definition of the word “grandchild,” which did not include those born while their parents were not married.
A July 16th motion was shot down by a judge who said, “There is no ambiguity in the Trusts’ use of the term ‘grandchild.”
This opens the door for all of Dr. Peter Bing’s grandchildren to inherit several million dollars at a minimum, despite whether the children’s parents were married.
